Did Connery have some kind of propensity for profanity that I don’t know about? Because otherwise, I never got this impression.
Also, Baldwin’s Tony Bennett was brilliant. He shamed the regulars.

Somebody did a pretty good job of purging the older SNL Sean Connery Jeopardy vids from YouTube. You used to be able to find just about all of them there, but now you have to go to NBC.com and deal with their interface.
It’s too bad NBC doesn’t just go ahead and post the old clips on YouTube and start raking in the views.

Jim Carrey’s Matthew Mcconaughey was pretty hilarious, too.

Jim Carrey’s everything was hilarious.

It was definitely not PC, but when the Video Daily Double came on, my sides practically split wide open.

I don’t know why, exactly, but the Ferrell/Connery celebrity Jeopardy is one of my favorite SNL things of all time. I know what’s coming and yet I laugh every time.

This video clip does the same thing to me. I know what’s coming, and it’s not even a very good joke, but goddamn my sides.

That was pretty good timing, for sure.

Hammond says when he first did Sean Connery, “I had a really accurate Sean Connery. Now what I do is really a bastardization of who he is, because it just seems funnier to me and it’s funnier to the writers and it gets more of an audience response. Sometimes they just don’t want to see accuracy, they just want it to be funny.”

NBC has pretty much every sketch ever filmed up on their website. You can search by year, then actor.

Yeah, the selection is great over there. I’ve just grown more accustomed to YouTube’s interface.

Well, it was funny. I was just trying to remember if it was some quirk of Connery’s that he exaggerated for effect, or if he just made it up.

I once saw an actual episode of Celebrity Jeopardy that gave a multiple choice for circumference of the earth. The first player buzzed in and answered incorrectly 250,000 miles or something, the second player buzzed in with 25,000,000 miles or something. The third player did not buzz in.
For those of you not reading closely, when two incorrect answers are taken from the set of three, the correct answer should be obvious, even if you couldn’t approximate a rather simple calculation.
The circumference of the earth is just under 25,000 miles.

Sean Connery is a bit of a crazy person.

True, but in his defense, Barbara is enough to drive anybody crazy.

I think he was talking about hitting his wife.

The irrational hatred and abuse Connery relentlessly hurls at Trebek just never ceases to amuse me.

Yeah, I got that, but I was trying to keep it light. Not condoning domestic violence, just avoiding the topic.

I’d never seen that and now I’m literally laughing out loud by myself

In 60 years or so, I want that video to play at my funeral.

“No no no, no no no.”
“It’s an N-word.”
“No no no no, no no no, no no no no no, no nope, please stop.”
